Cultural Heritage Challenge | Happy New Year to us all!
🇬🇧 The New Year's Eve festivities span across all time zones, beginning as the clock strikes midnight in Auckland and finishing 24 hours later in Hawaii. Every hour, fireworks light up the skies of cities big and small, captivating people in celebration. Since childhood, I've been mesmerized by these global celebrations, often showcased on TV, capturing the spirit of unity and shared purpose as a new year begins — a moment that also symbolizes our collective wish for World Peace.
What makes New Year's Eve so extraordinary isn't just the grand displays of fireworks, but the shared sense of joy, hope, and renewal that unites us all, no matter where we are. From the first spark in Auckland to the final burst in Hawaii, the world comes together in a beautiful, synchronized symphony that crosses borders and time zones, creating a universal moment of connection. As we ring in the new year, we are reminded of the beauty in our diversity and the power of uniting as one global community to embrace the possibilities ahead.
Happy New Year to us all!Margarida Amaral
Margarida Amaral
